Our shared concerns include asbestos contamination of the environment, environmentally safe workplaces, green public policies, health, and green building.

To increase awareness on these important issues, my goal is to get a resource link on your site or even allow me to provide a guest posting. Please contact me back, I hope to hear from you soon. Drop by our site www.maacenter.org in the meantime.

Thanks,

Barbara O’Brien
barbaraobrien@maacenter.orgAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3192413020534458605.post-6452092875228774512009-08-06T19:35:14.802-04:002009-08-06T19:35:14.802-04:00The CarbonTwin project was created to promote free...The CarbonTwin project was created to promote free exchange of Carbon Offsets between members who simply share their carbon offsets (for no compensation!) with members with higher carbon footprints.

carbonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3192413020534458605.post-5977817105324011802009-07-30T14:45:15.620-04:002009-07-30T14:45:15.620-04:00Was at work when the power went out in '03. It didn't really fill me with an awful lot of faith in humanity at that point. Security didn't even step in, because there was no point -- the cameras in the mall proper were done. I was kind of disturbed by how quickly our culture disintegrates as soon as somebody turned off the lights: and that's exactly the portent we're facing now. And yes the high levels of faith and psycho-complacency with which we treat energy is scary. My greatest fear isn't the power going out, it's that when it comes back on how much more are we all paying. We love to pat our own asses about earth-hour and eating locally but seriously we are the most wasteful people on the planet. And green washing a energy plan, (which is exactly what the liberals are doing) does nothing to change that. We need to get real about our energy predicament and look at the nuclear option by far the best thing to base-load with. For those who don't want our energy porduction to be mitigated by a bunch of wind industry hacks go and sign the petition here.bogged downhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13029444108316619047noreply@blogger.com
